i think it maybe oil
In theory yes but there's very little point in it as you can either get ethanol from crude oil through distilling and cracking through which you can also get diesel and petrol from. You can also make ethanol out of vegetables but again you can also make diesel. The main use of ethanol in running cars I would say is bio-petrol which is just a mixture of petrol and ethanol. All this achieves is less petrol being used. But yes, you can fuel your car on it after modifications but it's more commonly used as an additive to petrol.
Vegetable Oil is used to make biodiesel, and corn is used to make ethanol for a gasoline substitute.
Normal petrol is better for the environment. The end product that comes out of your car is worse, but it takes roughly one and a quarter gallons of gas to make a gallon of ethanol. So from production to end result normal gasoline is better.
No, it is not possible; also octane is not soluble in water !
ethanol consists of the polar hydroxyl group and non-polar alkyl grouping, accounting for its solubility in both polar (water) and non-polar (petrol) substances (remember, substances with the same polarity dissolve) miss p is awesome :)
You can substitute mashed bananas, applesauce, or flaxseed mixed with water for eggs in cookies to make them vegan or accommodate allergies.
Yes. In some countries (such as the US), you must obtain a permit from the BATF and the ethanol produced must be mixed with a substance that renders it unfit for human consumption. The ethanol must be used for producing energy, not to drink.
Ethanol SD Alcohol 40 is a specific grade of denatured alcohol consisting of 99.9% ethanol mixed with denaturants to make it unfit for consumption. The precise formulation may vary among manufacturers to meet regulatory requirements.
Not exactly. Petrol (called "gasoline" in the US) is made only from petroleum, the black crude oil which is pumped from the ground and is considered a fossil fuel. Maize (corn) can, however, be used to make ethanol, which automobiles can use to run quite effectively. Brazil is a nation which is converting its entire automobile fleet to use 100% ethanol as a fuel, although most of theirs is produced from sugarcane.
You can substitute eggs in brownies with ingredients like applesauce, mashed bananas, flaxseed meal mixed with water, or commercial egg replacers to make them vegan-friendly.
When food was hard to come by in the South during the war, egg whites and butter were mixed as a substitute for milk. The Civil War was fought from 1861 to 1865.
Ethanol is miscible with water, which means that it mixes completely with water. As a result, using ethanol to extract an organic compound from water would not effectively separate the two substances since the compound would end up being mixed with both the water and the ethanol. This would make it difficult to isolate the organic compound.
