People of other countries only see Americans that are visiting and the few they see when they visit The USA. Unfortunately, general opinions are formed from these limited observations. Yes, we have our moaners and groaners; however, we also have a majority consisting of non moaners and non groaners. These are the ones determined to make lemonade when given a lemon. These ones are not seen often by strangers. They are the ones on the job, working to make The USA a better place. The USA has been blessed with large amounts of valuable resources, including arable land, and a climate suitable for growing an abundance of food. This coupled with farmers' use modern technology gives us the ability to do so. One notes in many countries farming is inefficient because farms are small, do not use the best technology as far as methods and equipment, and and farmers have great political clout towards blocking the import of cheap food. I'm not sure who does the most moaning and groaning; countries which can but don't get off their backs and really start working or the few Americans who wouldn't be satisfied if they were worth their weight in gold. You ask a good question but only one you can answer with your eyes, ears, brain, and a desire to learn.
