It all depends on how you define dangerous. The Carpet Viper kills the most people, probably because of it small size and aggressive behavior. The Inland Taipan is the most poisonous land snake while the Belcher's Sea Snake, a snake that lives in the water, is the overall most poisonous. But, probably the most dangerous is the Black Mamba. It's bite is often deadly and it is aggressive. I assume the reason they don't kill more people is because you can see and thus avoid them.
