Probably movie theaters. Going to a theater allows one person to see a movie once for the price of one ticket. Buying a DVD allows as many people as you can fit in your living room to see a movie as many times as you want.
There are other reasons (new releases, screen size, better sound system in most cases) that you might prefer a movie theater, but price probably isn't one of them.
