Thurmon Munson was a catcher for the New York Yankees. He passed away in 1979, and a Japanese American had nothing to do with it. There was also a character in the movie, Kingpin, played by Woody Harrelson. Woody Harrelson has demonstrated that he is not a bigot. There is also a kind of person called a Munson. This is someone lucky, privileged, talented, just born to succeed who makes it to the very tippy top of his/her expectations but then manages to throw it all away. Was one of these the Munson you were suspecting of having a questionable opinion about Japanese-Americans?
