Is suboxone an amphetamine?

Suboxone is a combination of buprenorphine and Naltraxone. It does not shown as an opiate because it is not an opiate since its is not made from opium . It actually keeps you from getting high from opium. The suboxon fills your opiate receptors and the naltraxonw blocks real opiates from getting into your system. It tricks your brain into thinking it has opiates and blocks them if you do take them. It is a serious antagonist and if you do take an opiate based drug while using suboxone, you will become violently ill. It does have an half life meaning every day after you take it, there is half of what you took, 2 days, 1/4 and so on unitl it is completely disipated. you have to be tested for it to even have it come up positive.

Can one recover from heroin addiction by going cold turkey?

from a recovering heroin addicts perspective: one can recover from heroin by going cold turkey, but I would not recommend going that route because it never worked for me or anyone I saw going through heroin withdrawal. You honestly feel as though you are dying when you are going through withdrawal and it usually gets so bad that you are doing absolutly anything in your power to get heroin, methadone, perks, etc... absolutly anything to take away the pain and once you take away the pain you never want to go there again (meaning you never want to stop using). i would say that for anyone truly addicted, you shoould go to rehab and be medically detoxed by professionals. then get on a opiate bloxer like naltraxone. Hey I did it, yeah it sucked but is possible you will always be mentally addicted though you just have to be stronger than it Yup, it is very possible to do it, but you need alot of self motivation. Visualisation helps, you won't sleep that's for sure, but you can get in a dreamy state. Picture your futur as a non-user. Really helped "my friend". The suffering you go through might help in a way to never wan't to go back. Just remember the awful part of withdrawal only lasts about 7 days. Keep in mind everyone is different and reacts differently to drugs, also to withdrawal. Switching to something else is not an option in my opinion as you need the pride of knowing you quit cold turkey and not many do it. Some say marijuana help, but in my opinion amplifies the anxiety factor. Hope this helps. Y.D.

Can you take tramadol while smoking meth?

You really shouldn't! Tramadol is not to be taken with narcotics like methadone. very serious interactions could occur. You can, and most likely will get a Grand Mal Seizure (Which is very BAD). How do I know this? I had it happen to me 3 times! Then I found out from my clinic why you don't want to mix the two, or even take Tramadol/Ultram while detoxing from Methadone. DO NOT TAKE THE 2 TOGETHER, OR WHILE COMING OFF! It is a Horrible thing to experience! I took Tramadol and Methadone together for 3 years..APPROX 150 MG. OF TRAMADOL/Ultram AND 25-30 MG OF METHADONE EVERY DAY in the early morning and chewed up 50 mg of tramadol and 10 mg of methadone about 10AM everyday..that was usually my last dosing of the day...been out of RapidDrugDetox[Michigan RDD] for 12 days now and starting to feel good again without OPIATES..NEVER HAD A SEIZURE OR NOTICED THE ULTRAM-METHADONE MIX PRECIPITATED METHADONE WITHDRAWAL...IN FACT IN THE BEGINNING IT WAS AN INCREDIBLE BUZZ AS WHY I GOT HOOKED ON THE Methadone-Ultram/Tramadol COMBO in the first place..unfortunately[when getting off it] Ultram has a 2 fold effect..its synthetic codeine AND it has an anti-depressent feature/effect extremely similar to Effexor, and this added to the misery of my methadone/Ultram withdrawal the last 12 days...getting off Effexor [or any other SSRI drug 4 that matter] withdrawal symptom is an electrical shock feeling on your skin all over your body and a horrible feeling that your brain is totally misfiring and any head or eye movement brings on immediate nausea..[in short..it really sucks] here is my opiate use history[a messed up low back surgery in 1996 got it all started]...5 major low back surgeries between 1996-1999 ending in triple fusion which helped "some" with pain] 2003-2006 morphine contin & morphine 2006- June 2012 methadone 2009- June 2012 mixture of Tramadol/Ultram & methadone daily I did have small amount of muscle jerking when laying bed before falling off to sleep, and it IS possible i just got lucky never having a major grand mal seizure [due to relatively low dosage i was taking possibly]..anyway i can only say don't ever take any of it..it WILL ruin your life and kill you eventually, plus the constant constipation as opiates freeze up your digestive tract/colon & will drive you absolutely nuts always looking for the right laxitive combo to give you a daily bowel movement[if you're lucky enough to get one]..the drugs controls your enttire life and everything you do..then their is the weight gain from the dones as it really stimulates late night snacking and non-stop craving for sugary treats.. you lose all sex drive, and don't give a rats petunia about much of anything in the way of social and personal relationships..the only thing that matters for an opiate addict is that you always have enough drugs stashed away so you don't EVER go into cold turkey withdrawal.. the moral of my story? go to RDD in Michigan and get off all opiates and save yourself $10,000, as RDD is that much cheaper[$8700] than the other 6 national rapid detox centers, AND, they don't put you on another powerful opiate called Suboxone/Subutex/Buphenephrine, which obviously keeps you firmly addicted to opiates and in the clutches of big pharma and or your opiate street dealer!..RDD puts you on Naltraxone therapy afterward for 6 months -year or longer RDD was my 5th stint in rehab, and this rapid detox method IS the ONLY way off these opiate poisons! the actual 2 hour procedure is on Weds, and you can leave the hotel they put you in on Friday to go back home opiate free!..its not a picnic..there is still bad withdrawal depending how long you used, but nothing compared to cold turkey methadone withdrawal I've done twice and couldn't do it....you CAN do this one..I swaer you can and will be opiate free and live life opiate free again [and even have great sex again]..
