The next book in the series is called The Shadow Rising.
The Dragon Reborn is Rand al'thor. The first Dragon, however, was Lews Therin Telamon or Lews Therin Kinslayer.
There are actually 14 main books in this series, as well as a couple of side books. The Great Hunt actually is the second book in the series. It came after Eye of the World. After reading The Great Hunt, the next book would be The Dragon Reborn.
Another blurb extract, if you will: 'The Land is One with the Dragon-and the Dragon is One with the Land. The Shadow lies across the Pattern of the Age, and the Dark One has turned all his power against the prison that binds him. If it fails he will escape and nothing will stand in the storm that blows then...save the man who was born to battle the darkness:Rand al'Thor, the Dragon Reborn. But to wage his war Rand must find Callandor, ancient Sword of the Dragon...and the Forsaken will shatter the world to thwart him.' Just to help, Callandor is a special and very powerful sword (in a way) that can only be held by the Dragon Reborn, as it is protected by both saidar and saidin shields. Callandor is actually a very strong sa'angreal, which is why it will help Rand apart from being a shimmery sword.
Rand gets the dragon marks on his arms in chapter 25 of book four, The Shadow Rising.
Christopher Paolini's works were strongly influenced by Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series and Anne McCafferey's Dragon Riders of Pern.
The Wheel of Time is a series of books. Any other media format has been based on the books.
Godzilla The Animated Series - 2010 The Time Dragon 1-13 was released on: USA: September 2010
The Shadow Rising is the fourth book in the Wheel of Time series. In the book, Rand had just claimed the crystal sword and proven he is the Dragon Reborn. He goes into the Aiel Wastes and sees the Aelfinn and Eelfinn, but things don't go quite as expected. The Two Rivers come under trolloc attack, and Perrin leads the people to fight back. Min, Nyneave, and Elayne are also key players in this book.
The Wheel of Time is Actually a series of 12 books, with two more planned. The first is called "The Eye of the World".
At this time, there is no official series after Dragon Ball GT.
I have read #1 - 12 and enjoyed them all.
