The atom's center which is a cluster of protons and neutrons. Protons have a positive electric charge and neutrons have no electric charge. The atom's nucleus is held together by a strong force, which keeps positively charged protons from repelling each other. It surrounded by a cloud of electrons moving near the speed of the light. The electrons have a negative charge that attracts them to the protons and they live in shells representing different energy levels.

Hope this help you :D
