The 2000 model, 90 hp Johnson outboard was designed to run a varied ratio of 2 cycle oil, depending on engine rpm. The engine can be satisfactorily operated however, with a 50:1 ratio, one pint of 2 cycle oil, to six gallons of fuel.
I have a 1984 90hp Mercury outboard and the fuel mixture is 50:1 which is one pint of 2 cycle motor oil for every 6 gallons of gas.
The correct mixture is 50:1, or one pint 2 cycle oil to six gallons fuel.
50:1 is the correct mixture.
I use a 50:1 mixture in my 9.9 Johnson

50:1 is the correct mixture for a 1992 Johnson 60 hp outboard.
