Sepia
Old photo's are sometimes called Sepia photographs, due to their distinctive brown & white coloration that has a tendency to fade over time. Sepia photos usually date from the First World war era or earlier and is derived from squid ink. Pictures taken in Victorian and early Edwardian times were known as Dageurrotypes, named after the process that was used whereby the negative was imposed onto glass.
