Old school mode has weapons and perks scattered throughout the map; instead of picking up what killed players have left behind. These weapons and perks are marked by yellow lights and you can choose to pick them up by pressing square or just use what weapons were given to you at spawn. Also, in old school mode you can sprint without running out of breath, jump higher and farther, and exploit map "glitches" by jumping onto window sills and small ledges etc to get to higher, normally un-reachable areas of the maps. Old school "enabled or disabled" can be turned on and off in the game settings if you're hosting a map. (its just above hardcore mode)
