The land, the water, and the sky? East Side, West Side, and All Around the Town? Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney aka Not Actually In a Park At All?
I have no idea how to answer this. Disney officially divides Disneyland park into 8 "lands":
Main Street USA
Adventureland
Frontierland
New Orleans Square
Critter Country
Mickey's Toontown
Fantasyland
Tomorrowland
You could argue that Main Street is not really a land but just an extended gift shop you have to walk through on your way into and out of the park, but that still leaves a lot more than 3 sections.
Personally, I think there is something to be said for "East Side" (Tomorrowland and the right side of Main Street as you face the castle), "West Side" (AdvenFrontCritterToonFantaSquare and the left side of Main Street as you face the castle), and "All around the Town" (the Disneyland Railroad), because that's how the main parade route divides the park, and crossing the parade route can be anywhere from "a major hassle" to "impossible" when a parade is going on.
How about paradise pier?Paradise Pier is a section of Disney's California Adventure, a Disney park across a plaza from Disneyland with a separate admission. Disneyland sections are: Main Street, Adventureland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, New Orleans Square, Bear Country, Frontierland and Toontown
* Adventureland * Frontierland * Tomorrowland * Fantasyland * New Orleans Square * Toon Town
