It can be used as just a fun experiment for kids learning what non newtonian fluids are. It can also be used to show what viscous elastic fluids are.

oobleck is a solid and a liquid

Oobleck is a non-newtonian liquid.

No. Oobleck is a mixture of solid and liquid components.

its just a chemical reaction

Solid objects can float on oobleck, which is a mixture of cornstarch and water, if they move quickly enough. The less the spacecraft weighs, the longer it can stay afloat on the oobleck, but any spacecraft can float on oobleck for a short time.

No. Oobleck is a mixture of corn starch and water.

If you slowly slide your hand into a batch of Oobleck it will sink. If you try to quickly remove your hand it'd be hard to get your hand out. And if you punch, or apply force to the Oobleck it will feel solid.

* oobleck is a solid and a liquid at the same time, depending on it's treatment

yes you can with 1water 2flower and 3 with corn starch the flower makes the oobleck soft

oobleck is not a gas, its a mixture of liquid and solid...it is slid if you puch it,or anyting that is fast...if you pit something heavy or a person standing(stay still) it will sink

oobleck is a goo so if you evenly ( and correctly) distributed your materials then it should all stay together

A quick tap on the surface of Oobleck will make it feel hard, because it forces the cornstarch particles.

what is strange about oobleck is how it is shiny and looks like a very soft liquid like water but is NOT very soft at all and when you put your hand in it it sinks and oobleck fills up those spaces but never gets hard

Oobleck is a sticky substance that is a solid when pressurized but a liquid when not pressured in room temperature. It is a great thing to help teach kids chemistry. Oobleck is made of 1 cup of cornstarch for every 1/2 cup of water.

it may seam like a solid and a liquid, and it is! its called oobleck. No... oobleck isn't a made up word!! when u mix cornstarch and water, it makes oobleck. If u tilt your hand the oobleck will run down your hand like a liquid, but when u touch it... it is a solid. weird right?

Its green, sticky, and imaginary.

I works like a penis

Bartholomew and the Oobleck is the book's title and Oobleck is the green stuff.

Oobleck is made from corn starch and the best example to describe how does oobleck show pressure. take a 2L bottle and put sand and water in it squezee it soft the water can fill the gaps faster and squezee it hard the gaps wont get filled.

Oobleck is a suspension of starch in water, It is also classified as a non Newtonian fluid meaning it exhibits interesting properties.

Oobleck is not a gas. It is a non newtonian fluid made of corn starch and water. I suppose it could be a gas, though, if you heated it up a lot.

A compound is a substance formed when atoms of 2 or more elements join together. Therefore, an oobleck would probably be a compound.

It is a solid suspension in water.

because it acts like a solid
