An operating system is a program that can be written in C
It is a multitasking, multiuser opearting. It is a version of UNIX .
Windows 7 and Mac OSX Lion (coming this summer)
It is possible, but you have to know what kind of database do you want to access, as well as the opearting system and C-compiler your are using.
the operating environment is just you user interface. your customisable environment. the operating system is the entire basis of the computer working. it's the instruction set that makes the environment possible ===== Operating environment needs an Opearting system to work , OE depends on Operating system , Solaris is an Operating Environment not an Operating System
You want to share a drive in network, you do not need to reinstall xp at all. If you want to share with another operating system, then you need to create at least 2 partitions on for xp another fro another opearting system. If you install 2 OS in one direction it will cause win xp stops to work properly, and you might loose all your data on that partition.
Modular term means, things which can be reused and fitted anywhere any time in general so modular ot means the opearting area set up can be shifted any where using the same materils..
