'Overcurrent protection' is a means of protecting a cable and its load from damage due to an overcurrent. An 'overcurrent' is defined as either an 'overload current' (due to an excessive load) or a 'short-circuit current'. In its simplest form, overcurrent protection is provided by means of a fuse, but it can also be provided by means of a circuit breaker. In the case of high-voltage systems, the circuit breaker is tripped by the operation of one or more overcurrent protection relays which monitor the circuit using current Transformers.
a school supply that you need in 6th grade
A good thickness of lead.
It's type of valve used in fire water system for fire protaction.
in electrical circuit current will increase specific level (full load current).its call over current
An over current relay will operate when current exceeds its design rating. This application is intended protect loads or circuits from excessive current.
earth fault relay is also a type of over current relay but the set value of current or relay sensing current is much less than the maximum load current.in over current relay relay sensing current ise than maximum load current mor

In electrical terminology it is an over current device. This could be an electrical breaker. Another form of an over current device is a fuse.

Yes. Most microprocessor based relays that have both voltage and current inputs can provide overcurrent and over voltage protection simultaneously. Short circuit current is the same as overcurrent.
The current in a circuit is reduced to prevent the circuit from over load.
