How do you treat a boil?
Boils are painful swellings. Modern medicine teats the boils
with antibiotics and surgery (if pus is required to be drained).
Traditionally however boils are usually associated with increase in
the heat in body. In modern parlnece this may be increased
calorigenesis associated with infections. It is good to reconcile
both views. Drinking lot of water and avoiding heat producing
edibles such as pulses eggs etc. and consuming calming agents such
paripath, vala (khus), sandalwood, turmeric etc can be combined
with antibiotics and surgery. These views may be discussed with our
family physicians and verified.
