Phantom Canyon Road is a detour off of Gold Belt Tour Scenic And Historic Byway in South Central Colorado. It received the name "phantom" because passengers once claimed to have spotted a ghost walking the track. This scenic road is about an hour away from Colorado Springs and contains many tunnels, bridges, trails and curves. Additionally, the elevation increases and the road narrows.
