PHILOSOPHICAL THOUGHTS ON A TOOTHBRUSH

  1. Was it created or did it arise from chance
  2. Does a toothbrush have thoughts and feelings. If so, is it grateful that people have to clean their teeth, a matter which justifies the toothbrush's existence.
  3. The simple toothbrush reminds us that all of us are imperfect and may need a little brushing up sometimes.
  4. To be effective as a toothbrush, a toothbrush needs toothpaste. To be effective as a human each one of us needs work together in close co-operation, with common goals, with other humans, especially with those who are close to us.
  5. A toothbrush starts new and fresh, is used daily, but when it is old and wears out it is discarded and forgotten. Is life like that?
  6. Even a toothbrush needs to be cleaned!
  7. If we can learn so much from thinking about a simple toothbrush, how much more can we learn by thinking about the rest of the universe and the things in it!
  8. Is life too short?
