What is photoropism?

Phototropism is a property of plants. A phototropic plant grows in the direction of a source of light, usually the Sun in the natural world. This is in contrast with, for example, a gravitropic plant that grows in a direction opposite to that of the force of gravity.

"Photo" derives from the Greek word for light.
