Theprocess in which green plants turn sunlight into food. The steps of photosynthesis are:

1. Chloroplasts have chlorophyll that soak up sunlight.

2. Stomata in leaves take in Carbon Dioxide .

3. Root hairs absorb water through osmosis.

4. The "Magic Mix" of food is made, Glucose.

5. Water is released in the process. (Transpiration)

6. Oxygen is released

An example of energy being converted from one form to another?

When a car engine burns gasoline, chemical energy is converted to kinetic energy that moves the car. Another example is when a solar panel converts sunlight (radiant energy) into electrical energy that can power a home.

How does coal trace back to photosynthesis?

Coal comes from the remains of plants and trees that grew millions of years ago. These plants absorbed sunlight and converted it into energy through photosynthesis. Over time, the organic matter from these plants became buried, subjected to heat and pressure, eventually forming coal.

How do prokaryote get energy?

Prokaryotes are unicellular microorganisms that do not have a nucleus. Some prokaryotes obtain energy by consuming organic molecules made by other organisms, while others manufacture their own food from inorganic molecules.

What are the functions of the tree branch?

Tree's and plants alike are all forms of vegetation and all perform the same function using something called ' photosynthesis ' and it is truly a remarkable process in which plants are able to convert sunlight into food as well as draw up nutrients from the soil with their roots.

How are plants adapted to live in their environments?

Just like people they need water and nutrients, the roots soak up the water they can and they go into the leaves or flowers and the roots take the nutrients out of the dirt or ground and it helps the plant grow :)
