Spermatozoa
A male sex cell is a spermatozoa, or sperm cell. Sperm are produced in the testes, or testicles, and mixed with nutrients to form semen.
I'm not sure about sperm. I think you may mean its full name, spermatozoon (that's quite hard to pronounce, I guess that's why we usually call it 'sperm'). The scientific plural form is spermatozoa. Egg is also called ovum. Its plural form is ova.
Spermatozoa are the male reproductive cells produced in the testes, while sperm refers to the mature, motile form of spermatozoa. Spermatozoa have a head, midpiece, and tail, while sperm only consists of the head and tail. Spermatozoa are immotile and need to mature in the epididymis to become sperm, which are motile and capable of fertilizing an egg.
