When a charged body is placed close to a nonconducting substance, the molecules of the substance get polarised. This is called polarisation.
yes
relation between critical angle and polarising angle?
Polarizing power: Polarising power is the ability of an atom or group of atoms to attract the shared pair of electrons toward itself. For example: If you have aluminium chloride.... the aluminium ion has a 3+ charge and is relatively small. The chlorine ion has a 1- charge and is larger than the aluminium ion. As a result...the aluminium ion has a higher charge density (i.e. a stronger attraction) and so attracts the shared pair of electrons (between the chlorine and aluminium) towards itself. we say aluminium has high polarising power because of its ability to do this. And the chlorine is easily polarised because the electrons get taken away from it.
The size of the group 2 ions gets bigger as we go down the group. Hence, their polarising power also decreases. So, the carbonates are less polarised as we go down the group, requiring more energy to decompose them. Polarising power is the ability of the ion to attract the bonding pair of electrons towards itself.
Politics and religion are generally regarded as no-no's in breakrooms because they are so emotive and polarising. Breakrooms should be stress free
this is a matter of opinion. Personally I prefer Red Dead Redemption but others may have polarising views
3d is 3d. its just 2 images one for left and one for right. RealD is one system for taking the 2 images and polarising them to block the opposite eye. Most home theatre systems have been using XpandD aka flicker or shutter, which uses a synchronised LCD shutter in the glasses to block opposite eye. JVC developed a polarising system for the home that uses alternating rows of polarising filters in the TV screen itself. this system allows you to use RealD glasses at home. however it also reduces the image quality in half, making your 1080 into 540 or standard def.
The ionic character of a compound increases with the size of the cation because larger cations have a lower charge density, meaning the positive charge is spread out over a larger area. This makes it easier for the cation to donate electrons to form an ionic bond with the anion.
"Light boost" is the name of the technique used by LG to recover some of the brightness lost by the polarising filter they use in their 3D televisions.
That probably means that the lcd screen has a polarising filter. All you need to do is to turn your 'phone's screen to a different angle and the filter will become invisible!
A mix of religious and political conviction - and the insistence that 'Men are born equal' did not just mean white men. The publication of 'Uncle Tom's Cabin' at the time when the Fugitive Slave Law was polarising Northern opinion, swelled the ranks of the Abolitionists.
To use a circular polarizing filter effectively for photography, first, attach the filter to your camera lens. Rotate the filter to adjust the polarization effect, which helps reduce glare and reflections. Experiment with different angles to achieve the desired effect in your photos.
