Why do ants obtain from a greenfly?

i think you mean what do ants obtain from a greenfly but let me digress the mating ritual of the greenfly leaves yellow trails on the leaves which the ants retain upon pontification while the manganese fly south and solidify the bonification and the tablets to their highest quality not to be outdone by the redfly which is really more of a burnt orange that migrates to the south pole every 3 months making them eligible for frequent flyer miles(only on southwest) what was the question

Is it not unatural to be gay as if you were all gay then humanity would die out?

It is unnatural for EVERY human being to be gay, as then we would all die out, but it is certainly natural for some people to be gay, as that is just their orientation. Sexual orientation is an important factor in the way humans interract. But it is not something which people need to always be aware of. It is not the be all & end all of what makes us who we are. There is a quote, I think it's by Mrs Patrick Campbell about 'not doing it in the streets & frightening the horses'. Freedom is a very valuable commodity in this life, use it wisely & be true to yourself in whatever you do. & that's all the pontification you'll get from me today !

What are the continents which are crossed by the equator?

This depends on the definition and conventions used by the reader to describe the constitution of Earth's continents, and the answer is specifically affected by whether the reader considers the country of Indonesia to be found in the continent of "Asia" or "Oceania" or none, owing to the fact that Indonesia comprises island land masses none of which are large enough to be described as a continent. Starting at the International Date Line and moving west, the equator crosses the following 2011 continental countries: Indonesia (in the continent named "Asia", "Oceania" or "none", depending on convention used) then Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo and Gabon, (in the continent named "Africa"), followed by Brazil, Columbia and Ecuador (in the continent named "South America"). So, either two or three continents are crossed, Africa and South America for certain, plus "Asia" or "Oceania" if the land masses of Indonesia meet the reader's definition of a continent. :This message is reviewed and approved by the Department of Bloviation, Pontification, and Pomposity

What are your feelings on reading a dubious answer to the question - How many trees are there in the world?

About a billion (from what I hear, i bet more). There is no exact number because nobody counted them. There are 6-7 billion people on earth and 1 tree can support only 1-4 people. However the ocean also helps us get air.Further reading on the above statement:I did not write the above comment. I did however once expand on the subject in this forum in a mildly conjecture laiden piece that focused mainly on data harvesting pontification rather than actual figures. This previous entry and those that surrounded it that I speak of, probably would not have helped you find the answer to the actual question as posted. However, these comments have been strangely deleted leaving only the one above... About a billion........Wiki.Answers.com seem to have an automated system of informing those on the list of contributors when something has changed on a post. I received a mail telling me that further data was available on this tree topic and I click-rushed to see what comprehensive study had been submitted to augment the discussion we had been having. All previous entries cleared out, I only found this above three line statement. About a billion.......I clicked on "improve answer" when I saw the above comment come in. But strangely I don't have the answer beyond what I already stated a while back, and I therefore can't really improve it. So why did I bother to have further say on the matter?Well it was just the phenomena surrounding the entry above that made me unable to just pass it by. I had to re-contribute.Actually though, if you'll forgive me, I can't really talk directly about the subject in hand - IE counting trees - but more about our (I'm guessing male) friend above who felt led to give us the answer we all so desperately needed. What we are dealing with here is a new breed of internet ready data. Someone who has decided to contribute to Answers.com, whilst having absolutely no information whatsoever on the topic! His statement above comes straight to the point - "About a billion" - good work! We are on to something. Is our friend above a learned environmentalist / botanist / geographer / statistician? I guess we could surmise this was the case if he then went on to quantify and qualify the statement - and indeed he does.... the data comes to us with due eloquence: "from what I hear - I bet more".You know, this site exists for excellent reasons - it's an open forum full of extremely useful data. We are so lucky to have the internet, it saves us hours of trawling through libraries, universities and otherwise making relentless phone calls and writing letters to experts around the world. Now, if we need data like this - just ping out the question in Google and someone somewhere will meet you with a fresh answer. It may not be qualified in the slightest - but that is immaterial as it turns out. At last! The information revolution is complete. it's truly remarkable. And here, to grapple with the situation in hand - namely to answer "how many trees are there in the world?" our friend steps in. A noble soul who, out of the goodness of his heart, intends to educate us on the topic in a way that truly satisfies our thirst for knowledge. A hero no less. He hears a figure on the wind (one billion) and thinks that there are actually "more".I think this must be a feeling in his mathematical water. He has a hunch that a billion isn't quite enough. Do we suppose that our friend is using a new form of data collation? or is his system simply called, "write whatever you feel like writing whether you know something or nothing about a subject?"But wait - he is actually a fount of data, this is a magnificent contribution! It is now time to place this information within its full context. He now informs us that nobody has ever counted the trees on the planet! Well why not? This is an outrage! It would only take me a few minutes to count the trees in my garden and submit the answer online. If everyone did this in one afternoon, then we'd have an accurate answer by the next morning. For woodlands and forest land, we could just send some small children with a packed lunch on a field trip for the day, and have them add their findings to our database. Can't be hard can it!Nobody ever counted them. Where did he get this data? Has anybody counted the non-counters to ensure that there really aren't any? Perhaps someone HAS counted them, but not stepped forward to say "I am the lone tree counter!". Now is your time to shine! Identify yourself! But you don't exist. The reason I know this is because it clearly says so above. Nobody ever did it. We now know this. Here's yet more golden info - One tree can "support" between 1 and 4 people. It isn't clear whether he is referring to people actually climbing the said tree in his example of support or whether it is actually more of a shorthand statement for life support in all its categories.Put a tree in a room, surround it with 1-4 people and watch how there people thrive! They get fruit from it's branches, oxygen from its leaves and a non-stop source of fun and entertainment to boot! Yes indeed. Since our world population is covered here too (6-7 billion), and the trees of the world are supporting us in all these wonderful ways, this figure must surely be accurate. The next time you go out with 2-3 of your friends somewhere, stop the moment you chance upon your first tree. You need go no further. You will be fully supported. If however you have more friends than this, you should really start to carefully think about where you live versus how many trees are in the neighbourhood. Here's a quick world of warning on our current situation: According to my maths, if there are only 1 billion trees (plus/minus the later hunch aspect to the figure termed "I bet more") and there are 6-7 billion people requiring the aforementioned "support" then there are potentially 3 billion unsupported people out there today. Gasping for breath without any hope of survival....But wait! If you are by the sea though, there is nothing to worry about. Our friend above finalises his erudite in depth study with a hugely valuable parting nugget of data: "the ocean also helps us get air". Thank goodness for that! Now we can all rest in our beds - safe in the knowledge that there will never be a vacuum in our atmosphere, thanks not only to the billion (or probably more) trees in the world - but also the ocean's benevolent and perhaps somewhat mysterious contribution of "air".May all libraries be turned into supermarkets! May all professors of world studies put their feet up and relax. We must indeed welcome in the new era. The solution to our never ending quest. Because of the great contributors to Answers.com like our firm friend above, we will never need to look anywhere else to solve the questions of life. Quick, ask him another question - (whoever he is). He may not have any information at all, but he (like me - as it turns out) has an overwhelming need to contribute nonetheless. And that's really what's important isn't it. Outstanding!Your job now is to also click on "improve answer" - but perhaps, this time, to actually answer it!
