Morale would be higher, since there would be few, if any, members unhappy about being compelled to serve. The level of discipline and expertise could be expected to be higher as well, since the people serving voluntarily would have a vested interest in being good at what they do, as well as taking pride in who and what they are.

A voluntary army allows individuals to choose to serve their country, fostering a sense of patriotism and commitment among those who choose to enlist. It also may lead to a more motivated and dedicated military force, as individuals are there by choice rather than through compulsory service. Additionally, a voluntary army can attract individuals with specific skills and expertise that may benefit the military.
