Powdered zinc reacts faster because it has a greater surface area than the large pieces.
The solution becomes a paler blue and a brownish solid is formed
Zinc Chloride catalyses the reaction of e.g. phatalic anhydride and resorcinol. If you head these three as powdered substances with a bunsenburner, they react much faster. After solving this mixture in water, you can filtrate the Zinc Cholride out of the solution. For more examples what a catalyst does, read Wiki or Google catalyst. Good Luck
No. Powdered soap is not a colloid, it is a solid.
Zinc is the full name of the metal. Zinc is an transition element, proton number 30, Relative atomic mass about 65. However, there are loads of possible zinc compounds (zinc chemically tied to something else) such as Zinc chloride, zinc sulphate, zinc nitrate...
Powdered zinc has a greater surface area giving it a greater chance to react with a substance.

Hydrogen gas.

Zinc and sulphur aren't likely to react when mixed carefully at room temperature. Therefore, there is no chemical change. The most likely reaction is the oxidtion (tarnishing) of the zinc which will react slowly with the oxygen in the air. I can't remember whether this mixture is part of an industrial process, but I suspect that if you also mix in an oxidant like saltpetre, you might cause an explosion.

We find carbon or graphite as the center electrode of a zinc-carbon battery. It's the "common" battery we use in lots of stuff (but not an alkaline battery). That center electrode is the positive one, and the zinc makes up the outer or negative electrode in this battery. In an alkaline battery, manganese dioxide is the center, or the cathode (positive electrode). Powdered zinc will be found as the outer or negative electrode (anode).
powdered wig
no they are not they're made of lead with or without a copper although if you covered the copper jacket with powdered zinc that is in a heated solution of sodium hydroxide it will turn the jacket silver and to turn it gold or "brass" you put it under a flame
Think zinc.Zinc is the way to think.
zinc ash,zinc ingot,zinc dross
Zinc is a simple element, so the only thing in zinc is zinc.
