The definition of under employment is having a workforce that is not sufficient. This means that the workload is much more than the workers.
Small - Limits the amount of staff therefore limiting the workload and therfore limiting the profits of the business
Employment is a wider term that includes deployment also in its scope of workload. Deployment is a narrower term and always points to a specific duty. Example : John is employed by CNN and now deployed in Libya to cover war ravages.
In a work environment, there are "team leaders", "team players", and "loners". A team leader is usually a manager or supervisor of a group (team) and is responsible to lead or manage the task(s) that the team will work on by assigning each team member a workload. A "team player" (a member of the group) works well with the rest of the group and carries his/her share of the load and helps the others achieve the task(s) for which the team is responsible. A loner prefers to work alone and manage his/her own tasks. In order to answer the question, you need to analyze the three categories and determine where you fit best and answer honestly.
No, it does not always save a company money. If a retail company is understaffed, for example, they will experience a great many sales lost from customers not being able to find a sales rep available. If an office is understaffed, the workload will increase so much on all of the individuals there that they will fall behind every day, until eventually they will go under because they can not stay current with their work. However, assuming there is no understaffing occurring and the company can get by with fewer employees, then in this scenario, it will always save the company money to release those excess workers. I personally work at a bank and make ~$30,000/year. If they did not need me and ended up firing me, that would save quite a chunk of change in the budget. If they fired me and two other workers with my wages, that would save almost $100,000/year. You can see where the savings would take place.

Yes, it is. It means the amount of work to be done by someone or something. "The student had a heavy workload this semester."
A "workload" is an amount of work that something is doing. An "estimated workload" will be an educated guess as to how much work something will be doing.
Demotivators stop employees working at their best. Not knowing what is expected of them, office politics, lack of feedback/praise, heavy workload and salary issues are some examples.
The book 'Human Mental Workload (Advances in Psychology)' was written by Peter Ed. Hancock. 'Human Mental Workload (Advances in Psychology)' was first published in 1988.
As the muscle workload increase, its threshold of stimulation increases.
Planning a workload takes a lot of discipline. You should make sure that you always only take the amount of work that you can handle.
As a caregiver, the way to prioritize your workload is different with each person. However, the health and safety must absolutely come first.
