people who are being prosecuted for their beliefs by other people who do not agree with them, a classic example of that happened during the Second world war, where Jews were being rounded up and exterminated by the Nazi Regime of Germany.

Are family and friends invited to court cases in Britain?

Any court in the UK is open to the public unless it is deemned a "closed court" by the judge or magistrate. If family and friends are witnesses in the case, either for the defence or prosicution, then they can not enter the court until they have given evidence and released by the judge/magistrate. So, no actual invite is given, as anyone can go to court and watch/listen to a case being heard unless the circs above are relevant.

Why immigrate to England?

This is my attempt of answering the question, i hope that it helps. I'm currently learning about 'migration to England' at school so I'm not really sure if the reasons i have stated are completely correct. The main reason why people migrate to England is due to the fact that England has the perception of a better quality and standard of living. The desire to relocate to another country is purely run from ideas that there will be better job opportunites hence total income may be more than it would have been in the country they are moving from. With income higher people often assume that they will experience a better quality of life as they assume that with the increase of money being achieved, they will be able to buy not only the nessecities but also extra items that may make them more happy.Another reason why people decide to migrate to England is because England is a very diversly cultured place where any ethnicity is welcomed. People often assume that it is easier to work in an already develped country rather than be the process of the actually develpment. Often money earned in England is sent back to families and friends that are unable to travel and relocate to another country.not only this people aslo migraste due to the famine, war, unelpoyment and also to eascape the realigious prosicution

Difference between criminal law and civil law?

Quite simply, criminal law deals with violations of statutory crime and its punishment, civil law deals with non-criminal things such as contracts/business, and things such as divorce, etc. You can be charged under both criminal and civil proceedings though. A perfect example is OJ Simpson being aquitted of criminal charges but being found guilty in civil proceedings. Probably the biggest difference between the two is what is called "BURDEN OF PROOF" In criminal proceedings the burden is "BEYOND ALL REASONABLE DOUBT" for someone to be convicted. This means that the evidence points substantially towards guilt and there is little to no question of guilt. For a jury in this case you would need everyone in agreement or the case is a mistrial. Unaminity is the key. In civil proceedings all that is required is "preponderance of evidence" which means that if it is found that it was more likely than not that an incident occured then you can be convicted. This kind of proceeding is really a "who has the best evidence" type of case. Only a majority of jury members decision is needed in this case. ANSWER 2 1. Criminal Law cases must prove the person's guilt beyond reasonable doubt, whilst civil cases must be proved on the balance of probability 2. The main difference however is who the law is aimed at. Theoretically criminal law is a considered to be harming all members of society. Consequently, the victim of the criminal case is all of society; hence the case is brought on behalf of the police and prosecution on behalf of society. In contrast to this, civil/private law, the offence is committed against the individual :)
