Radon is a noble gas (non-metal) in the Periodic Table so it appears in the atmosphere as radioactive gas with a quantity of about 0.01%.

the standard state of Radon is gas in atmosphere so it is placed in periodic table as gas...the gas exist since billion of years and history of periodic table is thousands of years....
