Earth day
On a cloudy day, Earth gets UV radiation from the sun. Clouds do reduce the amount of UV rays that reach the earth but do not completely stop the damaging rays.

Earth Day was first celebrated in the US in 1970. There was a plan for Earth Day in September 1969 in the US. However, it was not really due to global warming, but to conserve Earth's greenery and also reduce the amount of carbon dioxide produced by man.
Reduce (the waste you create), reuse (use that bottle for something else rather than throwing it away), and recycle.
It Helps the Earth to reduce WASTE
because it causes awareness among the people of earth and it encourages people to reduce pollutants and recycle more. The idea is to make this planet better for this generation and the more to come.
Some reasons to celebrate Earth Day include the following:Earth Day raises an awareness to save the Earth. Especially in times of global warming, we should celebrate Earth Day to remind us to conserve Natural Resources for future use. Earth supports life, and we should be happy about it.Earth Day is very important to Earth because it teaches us to "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle!" If we don't take care of our Earth, then Earth wouldn't exist!Earth day is important because it is a day to help the earth and keep it safe and clean.Just like any other holiday we do things to celebrate them. Earth day is the day you show how much you appreciate mother Earth by "Going Green". that includes: Recycling, Reusing, Reducing the uses of some things [such as electricity] and more. It is important we celebrate earth day because on that day people take extra good care of the earth. It also creates more awareness to our community about caring for the earth.
On Earth Day, many people do something important for the Earth. Depending on what sort of activity you like to be involved in, you might:Plant a tree or native wildflowersBuild a birdhouse or shelter for wild animalsBe involved in learning sessions about the environment, teaching children, for exampleOrganise a clean-up litter campaign in your local areaFind ways to actively "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle"Organise an Earth Day fete, where people can sell crafts or produce that promotes Earth Day
