Companies offer a privilege to repurchase its own shares from the shareholders with higher price comparing to the market.

A program by which a company buys back its own shares from the marketplace, reducing the number of outstanding shares, because a share repurchase reduces the number of shares outstanding (i.e. supply), it increases earnings per share and tends to elevate the market value of the remaining shares.

How many unnamed people are mentioned in the bible?

I'll start it off with one or two:1) Ruth 4:1 (a repurchaser confronted by Boaz)2) Mark 12:42 (a widow who dropped in very little into the money box; but it was everything she had.)

How does Ruth come to attention of Boaz?

She started by gleaning in his field, to feed her family (Naomi)(Ruth 2:2 - Ruth 3:11). Boaz heard from others what a fine woman she was, hardworking and kind, and she spoke with Boaz about her situation and finally slept at his feet one evening(Ruth 3:14-15) after finding out that he was a distant relative of Naomi's and a 'repurchaser'. Basically her attitude and fine qualities drew Boaz's attention.

What does thy word is a lamp unto your feet and a light onto your path mean?

This phrase is a biblical reference from Psalms 119:105, and it means that God's word provides guidance and direction in life, like a lamp lighting the path ahead. It's a metaphor for how scripture can illuminate the way we should go and help us navigate through life's challenges.

Is there big mistakes erasers in Canada?

Yes. (And this includes the whole world). There is only one 'big eraser' for the mistakes we make. That is a study of the Bible. Learning what God requires of us, his Laws and principles and making application can only benefit each and everyone of us. For he says at Isaiah 48:17-18 the following: This is what Jehovah has said, your Repurchaser, the Holy One of Israel: "I, Jehovah, am your God, the One teaching you to benefit [yourself], the One causing you to tread in the way in which you should walk. O if only you would actually pay attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea." Notice what Acts 8:26-31 has to say about how one receives accurate (1 Timothy 2:4) information. The person in Acts 8:26-31 asked for help and obtained it. That is what each one of us needs to do is ask for help to understand what the Bible really says. Jehovah's Witnesses offer free Bible Studies to any one asking. What instruction did naomi give Ruth concerning boaz?

The Mosaic law had a provision for widows to be repurchased by a near kinsman. Naomi gave Ruth instructions as to a proper way to bring this fact to Boaz' attention. Boaz was a near kinsman of Ruth's husband Elimelech. (Ruth 2:19-3:18) 19 Her mother-in-law now said to her: "Where did you glean today, and where did you work? May the one who took notice of you become blessed." So she told her mother-in-law with whom she had worked; and she went on to say: "The name of the man with whom I worked today is Bo′az." 20 At that Na′o·mi said to her daughter-in-law: "Blessed be he of Jehovah, who has not left his loving-kindness toward the living and the dead." And Na′o·mi went on to say to her: "The man is related to us. He is one of our repurchasers." 21 Then Ruth the Mo′ab·i·tess said: "He also said to me, 'Close by the young people that are mine is where you should keep until they have finished the entire harvest that I have.'" 22 So Na′o·mi said to Ruth her daughter-in-law: "It is better, my daughter, that you should go out with his young women, that they may not annoy you in another field." 23 And she continued to keep close by the young women of Bo′az to glean until the harvest of the barley and the harvest of the wheat came to an end. And she kept on dwelling with her mother-in-law. 3 Na′o·mi her mother-in-law now said to her: "My daughter, ought I not to look for a resting-place for you, that it may go well with you? 2 And now, is not Bo′az, with whose young women you have continued, our kinsman? Look! He is winnowing barley at the threshing floor tonight. 3 And you must wash and rub yourself with oil and put your mantles upon you and go down to the threshing floor. Do not make yourself known to the man until he has finished eating and drinking. 4 And it should occur that when he lies down, you must also take note of the place where he lies down; and you must come and uncover him at his feet and lie down; and he, for his part, will tell you what you ought to do." 5 At that she said to her: "All that you say to me I shall do." 6 And she proceeded to go down to the threshing floor and to do according to all that her mother-in-law had commanded her. 7 Meantime Bo′az ate and drank, and his heart was feeling good. Then he went to lie down at the extremity of the grain heap. After that she came stealthily and uncovered him at his feet and lay down. 8 And it came about at midnight that the man began to tremble. So he bent himself forward, and, look! a woman lying at his feet! 9 Then he said: "Who are you?" In turn she said: "I am Ruth your slave girl, and you must spread out your skirt over your slave girl, for you are a repurchaser." 10 At that he said: "Blessed may you be of Jehovah, my daughter. You have expressed your loving-kindness better in the last instance than in the first instance, in not going after the young fellows whether lowly or rich. 11 And now, my daughter, do not be afraid. All that you say I shall do for you, for everyone in the gate of my people is aware that you are an excellent woman. 12 And now while it is a fact that I am a repurchaser, there is also a repurchaser closer related than I am. 13 Lodge here tonight, and it must occur in the morning that if he will repurchase you, fine! Let him do the repurchasing. But if he does not take delight in repurchasing you, I will then repurchase you, I myself, as sure as Jehovah lives. Keep lying down until the morning." 14 And she kept lying at his feet until the morning and then got up before anyone could recognize another. He now said: "Do not let it be known that a woman came to the threshing floor." 15 And he went on to say: "Bring the cloak that is on you, and hold it open." So she held it open, and he proceeded to measure out six measures of barley and to place it upon her, after which he went into the city. 16 And she went her way to her mother-in-law, who now said: "Who are you, my daughter?" Accordingly she told her everything that the man had done to her. 17 And she went on to say: "These six measures of barley he gave me, for he said to me, 'Do not come empty-handed to your mother-in-law.'" 18 At that she said: "Sit still, my daughter, until you know how the matter will turn out, for the man will have no rest unless he has brought the matter to an end today."

What is the Jehovah's witness definition of salvation?

*** it-2 p. 873 Savior *** SAVIOR One who preserves or delivers from danger or destruction. Jehovah is identified as the principal Savior, the only Source of deliverance. (Isa 43:11; 45:21) He was the Savior and Deliverer of Israel, time and again. (Ps 106:8, 10, 21; Isa 43:3; 45:15; Jer 14:8) He saved not only the nation but also individuals who served him. (2Sa 22:1-3) Often his salvation was through men raised up by him as saviors. (Ne 9:27) During the period of the Judges, these special saviors were divinely selected and empowered to deliver Israel from foreign oppression. (Jg 2:16; 3:9, 15) While the judge lived, he served to keep Israel in the right way, and this brought them relief from their enemies. (Jg 2:18) When Jesus was on earth, Jehovah was his Savior, supporting and strengthening him to maintain integrity through his strenuous trials.-Heb 5:7; Ps 28:8. Along with his role as Savior, Jehovah is also the "Repurchaser." (Isa 49:26; 60:16) In the past he redeemed his people Israel from captivity. In delivering Christians from sin's bondage, he does the repurchasing through his Son Jesus Christ (1Jo 4:14), Jehovah's provision for salvation, who is therefore exalted as "Chief Agent and Savior." (Ac 5:31) Accordingly, Jesus Christ can rightly be called "our Savior," even though he performs the salvation as the agent of Jehovah. (Tit 1:4; 2Pe 1:11) The name Jesus, given to God's Son by angelic direction, means "Jehovah Is Salvation," for, said the angel, "he will save his people from their sins." (Mt 1:21; Lu 1:31) This name points out that Jehovah is the Source of salvation, accomplished through Jesus. For this reason we find the Father and the Son spoken of together in connection with salvation.-Tit 2:11-13; 3:4-6. Salvation is provided by Jehovah through Jesus Christ for "all sorts of men." (1Ti 4:10) He saves them from sin and death (Ro 8:2), from Babylon the Great (Re 18:2, 4), from this world under Satan's control (Joh 17:16; Col 1:13), and from destruction and everlasting death (Re 7:14-17; 21:3, 4). "A great crowd" is shown at Revelation 7:9, 10 attributing salvation to God and to the Lamb. The ransom sacrifice is the basis for salvation, and as King and everlasting High Priest, Christ Jesus has the authority and power "to save completely those who are approaching God through him." (Heb 7:23-25; Re 19:16) He is "a savior of this body," the congregation of his anointed followers, and also of all who exercise faith in him.-Eph 5:23; 1Jo 4:14; Joh 3:16, 17.

Why did many Jews believe the messiah would soon appear?

The Bible spoke of many "Messiahs"(ones who were 'anointed' for a specific purpose), but they ALL pointed forward to THEMessiah that would ultimately come through the line of Abraham(Genesis 22:18)(James 2:23), would be sent first to Abraham's descendants, the Jews(Romans 1:16), and then as a sacrifice for the 'whole world' of faithful mankind(1 John 2:1&2)(Galatians 3:6-9,26-29). God promised a messiah because humans would have no hope without one (Psalms 49:7) and his sacrifice was prophesied hundreds of years beforehand at Daniel 9:25&26.The reason a 'Messiah' was needed:Adam was created perfect and could have lived forever, with his ongoing family, but knowingly chose to disobey God. Because he now fell short of perfection, he was a 'sinner', and lost his relationship with God and his everlasting life, for himself and all his yet unborn descendants. (Genesis 1:31 and Genesis 2:17(Gen.3:6)) Job 14:4. We needed a 'repurchaser' to buy us back and give us a chance to live forever, as originally intended.Death spread from Adam to all his descendants (Romans 5:12) "through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned. (Psalms 51:5)(Job 14:1-4) (James 1:14-15)(Romans 7:21-25) The Bible then tells us that " the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord".(Romans 6:23) (Hebrews 4:15)(1 John 2:1 & 2) The Mosaic Law temporarily covered the sins of mankind using animal sacrifices...(Hebrews 9:22)(Leviticus 17:11)(Leviticus 9:9) but it ALL pre-figured the coming of THE Messiah.Jesus willingly came to earth as that 'Messiah' ("Christ", 'Anointed One") to REPLACE our sinful human father, Adam. To give 'life for life', a perfect human life, equal to Adam, but faithful to death(1 Corinthians 15:45). He paid a 'ransom' for us (Matthew 20:28), to buy us back from the 'enemy- 'death' (1Corinthians 15:26) to give us a choice. For righteous hearted people, who want to OBEY God, he provides not only a sacrifice for our sins, but someone to set an example for us to follow(1 Corinthians 15:45)(1 Peter 2:21&22)(Matthew 7:21-23), and a way to fulfill God's original purpose for righteous mankind to live forever.(Acts 17:26)((Isaiah 55:11)(Psalms 37:10,11,29 / Matthew 5:5)Jewish AnswerThe word 'messiah' is the anglicisation of the Hebrew 'moshiach'. The word moshiach translates to 'anointed'. The title of moshiach was given to any person who was appropriately anointed with oil as part of their initiation to their service of HaShem. We have had many moshiachim (pl) in the form of kings, priests, prophets, and judges. There is absolutely nothing supernatural about a moshiach. There is a prophecy about a future moshiach, however, he'll be a mortal man who will lead the country of Israel. The claims of a messiah who was a sacrifice for mankind's sin is an abomination according to the teachings of the Tanach (Jewish Bible). HaShem specifically states that human sacrifice is an abomination, that it is not possible for one person to atone for the sins of another, that it is not possible to atone for sins not yet committed, and that He will NEVER be man or son of man.

What is meant by Exodus 4v22 isn't Jesus the firstborn?

"Israel Is My Son." To Pharaoh, who considered himself a god and a son of the Egyptian god Ra, Jehovah spoke of Israel as "my son, my firstborn," and called on the Egyptian ruler to "send my son away that he may serve me." (Ex 4:22, 23) Thus the entire nation of Israel was viewed by God as his "son" because of being his chosen people, a "special property, out of all the peoples." (De 14:1, 2) Not only because Jehovah is the Source of all life but more specifically because God had, in harmony with the Abrahamic covenant, produced this people, he is called their "Creator," their "Former," and their "Father," the one by whose name they were called. (Compare Ps 95:6, 7; 100:3; Isa 43:1-7, 15; 45:11, 12, 18, 19; 63:16.) He had 'helped them even from the belly,' evidently referring to the very beginning of their development as a people, and he 'formed' them by his dealings with them and by the Law covenant, giving shape to the national characteristics and structure. (Isa 44:1, 2, 21; compare God's expressions to Jerusalem at Eze 16:1-14; also Paul's expressions at Ga 4:19 and 1Th 2:11, 12.) Jehovah protected, carried, corrected, and provided for them as a father would for his son. (De 1:30, 31; 8:5-9; compare Isa 49:14, 15.) As "a son," the nation should have served to the praise of its Father. (Isa 43:21; Mal 1:6) Otherwise Israel would belie its sonship (De 32:4-6, 18-20; Isa 1:2, 3; 30:1, 2, 9), even as some of the Israelites acted in disreputable ways and were called "sons of belial" (literal Hebrew expression rendered "good-for-nothing men" at De 13:13 and other texts; compare 2Co 6:15). They became "renegade sons."-Jer 3:14, 22; compare 4:22.It was in this national sense, and due to their covenant relationship, that God dealt with the Israelites as sons. This is seen by the fact that God simultaneously refers to himself not only as their "Maker" but also as their "Repurchaser" and even as their "husbandly owner," this latter expression placing Israel in the relationship of a wife to him. (Isa 54:5, 6; compare Isa 63:8; Jer 3:14.) It was evidently with their covenant relationship in mind, and recognizing God as responsible for the formation of the nation, that the Israelites addressed themselves to Jehovah as "our Father."-Isa 63:16-19; compare Jer 3:18-20; Ho 1:10, 11. The tribe of Ephraim became the most prominent tribe of the northern kingdom of ten tribes, its name often standing for that entire kingdom. Because Jehovah chose to have Ephraim receive the firstborn son's blessing from his grandfather Jacob instead of Manasseh, the real firstborn son of Joseph, Jehovah rightly spoke of the tribe of Ephraim as "my firstborn."-Jer 31:9, 20; Ho 11:1-8, 12; compare Ge 48:13-20. Jesus is not merely God's unique or incomparable Son but also his "only-begotten Son," hence descended from God in the sense of being produced by God. This is confirmed by apostolic references to this Son as "the firstborn of all creation" and as "the One born [form of gen·na′o] from God" (Col 1:15; 1Jo 5:18), while Jesus himself states that he is "the beginning of the creation by God."-Re 3:14. Jesus is God's "firstborn" (Col 1:15) as God's first creation, called "the Word" in his prehuman existence. (Joh 1:1) The word "beginning" in John 1:1 cannot refer to the "beginning" of God the Creator, for he is eternal, having no beginning. (Ps 90:2) It must therefore refer to the beginning of creation, when the Word was brought forth by God as his firstborn Son. The term "beginning" is used in various other texts similarly to describe the start of some period or career or course, such as the "beginning" of the Christian career of those to whom John wrote his first letter (1Jo 2:7; 3:11), the "beginning" of Satan's rebellious course (1Jo 3:8), or the "beginning" of Judas' deflection from righteousness. (Joh 6:64; ) Jesus is the "only-begotten Son" (Joh 3:16) in that he is the only one of God's sons, spirit or human, created solely by God, for all others were created through, or "by means of," that firstborn Son.-Col 1:16, 17 ---- Insight on the Scriptures- Published by Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, inc.

To Jehovah Witnesses was Jesus a created being or not?

Yes, since He is not equal with the Father to them and so not God as Christians believe and as the Bible clearly teaches, when read in its context. Since He is not equal with the Father, He was therefore created by the Father -who they name Jehovah. And even though Christians also acknowledge this name JW's are distinctive in the emphasis they place on this particular divine name from which they take their own name. They, in taking this as the one and only name for God specifically exclude the naming of Jesus as God, despite what the Bible teaches.ANSWER FROM A JWLet's go to the Bible. Let's begin at Colossians 1:15 which says concerning Jesus Christ: "Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:"(King James Version) That scripture says that he is the 'image of God...the firstborn.' Nowhere in the Bible is the term "firstborn" applied to the Father or the holy spirit, but only to Jesus. According to the meaning of the term "firstborn," Jesus is the eldest in GOD's family of sons, which includes the angelic and earthly. That scripture also says he is the "image of God." To be the "image" of something is to be in the likeness of. Jesus was the first of all of God's creation, created in the perfect image of his Father.Jesus then became the "master worker," being used in all of Jehovah's further creative works. At Proverbs 8:30, we see Jesus being called a 'craftsman at God's side'(New International Version), "beside HIM, as a master workman"(New American Standard Bible), "beside HIM as a master and director of the work" (The Amplified Bible), "beside him, like a master workman" (English Standard Version), "right beside the LORD, helping him plan and build." (Contemporary English Version). That is why Colossians 1:16 goes on to say: "For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him."(King James Version)Because of what the scriptures indicate, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus was, as the Bible says, the "firstborn" of creation, the first of all of Jehovah's creative works. Jesus was, not only the first created, but he was the only one created directly, exclusively by Jehovah. All other things were created using Jesus as the "master workman." Therefore, Jesus is also rightly referred to by the scriptures as "only-begotten son" of GOD. (John 3:16-King James Version)Additional Answer: Jehovah created Jesus before he created the earth and so Jesus was able to aid Jehovah in whatever he needed done.ANSWER FROM THE BIBLEGod, Jehovah, is the Creator, and there is no Creator apart from God. Jesus is therefore included in (Trinity) Jehovah. There are key verses which indicate this very clearly. Deu 32:18states that God has formed us. This is the issue behind this teaching, the JWs refuse to accept Jesus as True and Very God, therefore they make Him into an archangel instead. The Jehovah's Witnesses have translated their own Bible (New World Translation) which corrupts the original Greek and Hebrew text to make the Bible fit their doctrines, but even so, I will quote these verses out of their own Bible which proves Jehova is the only Creator. Isa 40:28 says, "Have you not come to know or have you not heard? Jehovah, the Creator of the extremities of the earth, is a God to time indefinite." Isa 42:5-6"This is what the [true] God, Jehovah, has said, the Creator of the heavens and the Grand One stretching them out; the One laying out the earth and its produce, the One giving breath to the people on it, and spirit to those walking in it: I myself, Jehovah..." (NWT)Isa 45:11-12 "This is what Jehovah has said, the Holy One of Israel and the Former of him... I myself have made the earth and have created even man upon it. I my own hands have stretched out the heavens, and all the army of them I have commanded." (NWT)Isa 45:18 "For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the [true] God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited: "I am Jehovah, and there is no one else." (NWT) Here we see that simply put, the "true God" Jehovah (according to the JWs) is the Creator of the Heavens and the Maker of the earth. This according to Col 1:15 is Jesus.Isa 44:24 This is what Jehovah has said, your Repurchaser and the Former of you from the belly: "I, Jehovah, am doing everything, stretching out the heavens by myself, laying out the earth. Who was with me? (NWT)This last verse clearly reveals even from the JWs own Bible that God was acting alone (just Jehovah and nobody else) when He created the heavens and the earth. If Jesus is not fully God (the same thing as Jehovah), then it would be a lie to say "God created the heavens and the earth". The Bible would have to say, "an angel created the heavens and the earth." See also: Gen 1:1 "God created the heavens and the earth"; Jer 51:19 "he is the former of everything... Jehovah of armies is his name". The Jehovah's Witnesses corrupt (without any Greek manuscripts to support their corrupted and warrantless changes) the text of Col. 1, but even so, their own Bible shows elsewhere the same truths they mangle in Col. 1:15ffPastor David Cox Iglesia Bautista FundamentalMexico City, D.F. Why will Jehovah's Witnesses not receive blood tranfusions?

Jehovah's Witnesses do not refuse medical intervention. We seek the highest quality medical care available for ourselves and our loved ones. The only treatment we refuse is that involving transfusions of whole blood or its major componants into our bodies. This is based on Acts 15:28, 29 and other related passages in the Holy Bible. Although our refusal is Bible based, we have benefitted physically from this stand as well. Our surgeons are thus more careful, and we often recover more quickly from surgery than others who have the same surgery with blood transfusions. Many who are not Witnesses have also benefitted from our stand. Link below to more details.Jehovah's Witnesses do not refuse medical intervention.
