It takes approximately 12 years to become an anesthesiologist in the United States after someone has graduated from high school: 4 years of college; 4 years of medical school; and 4 years of anesthesiology residency.
Despite the high level of training and expertise required to become a CRNA, the road to becoming an anesthesiologist is unchanged from the one facing anyone else. The CRNA would have to apply to and be accepted by a medical school. After four years and graduation with either an M.D. or D.O. degree, the new physician would have to complete a residency (four years) in anesthesiology, at which point, he or she would be an anesthesiologist.

The legal age to quit high school in the 1930s varied by state, but in many places, students could leave school around the age of 14 or 15. This was largely due to the economic hardships faced during the Great Depression, which forced many young people to leave school in order to work and support their families.

Anesthesiologists are doctors. It isn't the high school classes so much as the college classes that will get you into medical school. In high school you need good grades so that you can get into a good college. And in college you will need good grades to get into medical school. After medical school, you then study to acquire your anesthesiologist certification.
it is not required but it helps, because they generally pay for you to swim
No high school classes, other then your core classes (math, reading, etc.) are required for a profession after high school
