Getting the tools/settings up for what you clicked on eg if you right clicked on your desktop, it will come up with tools like personalise or refresh

It depends on if you're talking about the background of your desktop or the background of a running program. FOR DESKTOP. Rightclick desktop, properties, desktop, make background picture None and change the color to black. FOR PROGRAMS. Rightclick desktop, properties appearance, advanced, window, then change that to black and the font color to something like white or whatever, something you can see on top of black.

Depends what word processor your using. In Word 2003 onwards, rightclick on the word and place the cursor on Synonyms. For other word processors, wait until someone else answers.
