It a holiday celebrating buddah. Of course that means that buddhists celebrate it.
A rohatsu is an intensive 9-day period of meditation in some Zen monasteries. It does not relate to a supreme being one way or the other.
Rohatsu, or the celebration of Buddha's enlightenment, is often associated with colors that symbolize tranquility and reflection. Common colors include deep blue, representing wisdom, and white, symbolizing purity and peace. These colors are used in decorations and attire during the observance of Rohatsu, reflecting the contemplative spirit of the occasion.

Buddhists celebrate Bodhi Day (a.k.a. Rohatsu) on DEC-8, or on the Sunday immediately preceding. It recalls the day in 596 BCE, when the Buddha sat beneath a Bodhi tree -- a type of fig tree -- and is believed to have achieved enlightenment, thus escaping the repeating cycle of reincarnation: involving birth, life, death and rebirth. A descendent of the original tree is the most important of four holy sites of Buddhism.
