Flexeril is a "muscle relaxer" not a pain med for nerves. Lyrica, gabapenten(sp), tramadol, and a few other meds have been shown to help with nerve pain.
Lidocaine has a few uses, most notably as a painkiller administered topically, transdermally or IM, and an antiarrhythmic (IV).
Talk to your OB, in the second trimester mine prescribed a pain med that gave some relief.Atleast to help sleep.

Every Oral Surgeon is different in what they recommend for pain management. Most doctors will give you a prescription pain medication to use for a few days. Depending on the level of pain, over the counter medicine may be enough.

Well there are quite a few side effects ... weight gain, stomach aches and you might vomit.. if you intend on overeating i would get some med's for stomach pain...
