Bob Sheppard who announced for the Yankees from 1951-2007, officially retired on November 27, 2009, he died on July 11, 2010.Jim Hall filled in for Sheppard in 2008. Bob Sheppard had his voice recorded just for Derek Jeter's at-bats, per Derek's request in 2006 and now he will have Sheppard announce him for the rest of his career at Yankee Stadium.
