Salidumay is not a folk dance but is a folk song. It is syllabic and the lines do not end in rhyme but in assonace.
It is a lullaby chant among the natives of the Cordillera mountains, specifically the Kalinga tribe.

Indigenous people composed a melody related with the Igorot and Kalinga locals of the Cordillera Mountains in the northern part of the Philippines and it is called Salidumay. It is not customarily sung in Tagalog, yet Filipina vocalist Grace Nono, converted the native lyrics into tagalog lyrics.
