A record of un salpingo
A salpingogram is a type of medical imaging test used to visualize the fallopian tubes and assess their patency (openness) and structure. It is typically performed during a procedure called hysterosalpingography (HSG), where a contrast dye is injected into the uterus and fallopian tubes, followed by X-ray imaging. This test is often used in the evaluation of infertility or to investigate conditions affecting the female reproductive system.
The medical term is hysterosalpingography, short form salpingogram or HSG. Contrast dye is injected into the uterus, and then the radiologist watches for "fill and spill" showing that the uterine cavity and the lumen of each fallopian tube is normal.
