Simba doesn't have a son in the official The Lion Kingmovie universe, but only in the children book series, The Lion King: Six New Adventures in which his name is Kopa. Officially, Simba has only a daughter, Kiara.^^^^ There is also another unofficial version of Simba's son, Tanabi. He isn't very famous in the fanworld of TLK.

In a deleted scene from the movie, Zira says that if Scar were still alive and still king, she would be his "loving, devoted queen", but this was deleted from the film so that no Outsiders in the film have any relationship with Scar so Kovu being Scar's son is out of the question.
