I dined there back in 1985 and possibly earlier. Wish I had their recipe for steak scordato...my favorite dinner. My father was co-owner. Scordato's opened in Paterson NJ in 1947, then moved to Hawthorne in 1970. My father retired in 1983, his brothers retained the restaurant for a few more years--around 1990, not exactly sure. In the last couple of years of the restaurant, it was no longer owned by family.
