Three reasons it was significant: 1. The US was considering abolishing the US Marine Corps, as amphibious landings were considered no longer applicable after WW2. The Inchon Landing saved the Marine Corps. 2. The Inchon Landing took the communists by surprise and severed their supply lines. The enemy was now cut in half; with allied forces behind them. 3. Washington approved the invasion of North Korea. Allied Forces crossed the 38th Parallel within weeks of the Inchon Landing.
The Pusan Perimeter is where the South Koreans first got pushed back to in the war as they were stuck in the Pusan Peninsula and the Inchon landing is when Truman sent troops to Korea they went by boat and landed at Inchon where they took the North Koreans by surprise and pushed them back. :D I hope this has helped you in anyway that it can ;)
