Kneeling-meditation. Sit with your feet under your buttocks, with back straight. This is called kneeling-meditation or Zazen pose. Much discipline is needed to maintain this pose. The resulting pins and needles causes the mind to concentrate on the meditation, not the pain...
Kundalini Yoga is scientifically designed to bring about a rise of the semi-dormant power of Kundalini which normally resides at the base of the spine upwards throught Sushumna, which is a subtle nerve channel in the base of the spinal column. As this Great Cosmic Power rises and activates the various psychic centres in turn, different states of consciousness and abilities are given to the yogi. When Kundalini begins to maifest in the higher psychic centres the yogi enters the deeper states of consciousness known in the east as Samadhi or true deep meditation. When Kundalini can be controlled up to the Ajna or 'Third Eye' Centre the aspirant then has mastered his body and life.
