A slave is any person stripped of their human rights and held captive under the oppressive ruling by a single master or a monarchy. Many were required to work for little to no pay, suffered beatings, and held few possessions. Slavery pre-dates human record and is present in every culture throughout the world.

Why slavely don't exist?

Well, to some extent it still does. Parts of Africa and the far East still have pockets where people are kept under slave-like conditions. It might be abolished by law, but if there's enough money to be made people will still find a way to continue doing it. There's also human trafficking, and illegal immigrants. They tend to get where they want to go by indebting themselves to the smugglers. The system is set up in such a way that they're practically slaves for several years if not more. Being illegals the can't turn to the police for protection, so something very much like slavery keeps on going. For the rest of us, well we simply decided that slavery was immoral and gave it up.
