234 ###### 2010-01-25 15:00:26

As the question stands, then such measurements as inches, decimetres, centimetres and millimetres are all shorter than a foot and shorter than a metre.

If the question should have been, What is longer than a foot but shorter than a metre? then then answer is a yard.

A yard is longer than a foot and shorter than a meter because there is approximately 3.2808339 feet in a meter. 3.2808339 feet is greater than 3 feet There are 12 inches in 1 foot. Therefore, 11 inches is shorter that 1 foot by 1 inch. A Millimeter is shorter because it is a thousandth of a Meter. Not really. There are three feet in a yard, and a yard is just a bit shorter than a meter. It is more correct to say that a yard is almost the same as a meter. Nanometer is definitely smaller then a meter. you can't fit meters in to a foot because feet are smaller than meters. Cm is smaller. There are 100 cm in a meter. A meter is 1,000 times smaller than a kilometer. In round figures, 1 meter = 3.281 feet 1 foot = 0.305 meter a millimeter is smaller than a meter. 1 millimeter = 0.001 meter A millimeter and a centimeter are shorter than a decimeter.1.0 meter = 10.0 decimeters1.0 meter = 100.0 centimeters1.0 meter = 1000.0 millimeters 1 meter is smaller than 110 centimeters, because 1 meter is equal to 100 centimeters. 110 centimeters is greater than 100 centimeters. Smaller a micrometer is 1/1,000,000 of a meter Yes, a yard is slightly smaller than a meter.
