Smelly snot can be caused by Sinusitis, a infection of the sinus. The smell can be quite nausiating. If you suffer from smelly snot, you are advised to seek medical attention, as the infection could eventually reach the brain and cause serious complications. In most cases, a course of antibiotics will be prescribed and the condition should clear up within about two weeks.
