What is socially advantaged?

Anything or anyone that accords you, or gives you access to, greater wealth.

There are many, many possibilities. Knowing people or having relatives that know people who can give you access to better jobs, schools and universities, clubs, or many other things are considered social advantages. In some societies speaking with a 'better' accent has been considered a social advantage. Coming from a country with a greater standard of living can be an advantage. Attending one of the world's best educational institutions usually gives a person social advantages. Having a good appearance oneself, or being married or affianced to someone with a good appearance, conveys social advantage.

Anything that can be used to gain access to greater wealth can be considered a social advantage. It's important to mention, however, that wealth is broadly defined here. It doesn't necessarily mean financial wealth.
