Speed dialing is a system that allows you to dial an abbreviated code (usually one or two digits) instead of dialing the entire telephone number. You must program your speed dial numbers before using them.
The speed dialing option is not only good for its convenience on dialing numbers fast but if used the right way while driving; while at a light or a pause in traffic flow speed dialing can be utilized very effectively while driving.
It's a feature some phones have where you can program a number into your phone and then when you want to call it, you only have to push usually two buttons.

DECREASE THE TRANSMISSION SPEED OF THE FAX MODEM The modem of the printer can transmit data at 33,600 bps. This is the maximum speed at which the printer can send and receive faxes. It is not necessary, however, to set the modem to its fastest transmission capability.
