Star Ocean EX is a 26-episode anime series based off the Star Ocean: Second Story video game produced by Tri-Ace and Enix (now Square-Enix). The video game also inspired a seven volume incomplete manga series named directly after the game, though the adventures equivalent to the game's events were continued on Drama CDs, and partially illustrated in manga-ka's Mayumi Azuma's artbooks, Treasure and Second Treasure.
However, the anime does alter some key facts from the video game, including Rena's true history and the mystery behind the Sorcery Globe.
No Episode 26 is the last episode for Star Ocean EX
