Lightning
Static electricity is static. It's just shortened.
Which is a characteristic of static electricity
If the static charge has enough potential stored, there may be a risk of harm. Most commen occurances of static electricity being discharged is barley enough to sting the average human, leaving no permanent harm. Severe collections of static electricity, such as found in storm clouds, can discharge enough power to form lightening.
a buildup of static electricity in clouds creates lightening bolts, so electrical energy.
Static electricity is first created in the clouds then with enough charge the electricity grounds itself to the earth and what you see is the flow of static electricity shifting from the clouds to the ground
static electricity generated in cumulonimbus clouds
Clouds carry a massive amount of static which is discharged as lightning.
Well i don't know about electricity but i know about static electricity. Lightning is like static electricity, except on a much bigger scale. Both lightning and static electricity happen because of the attraction between the opposite charges. When static electricity moves, it is a current. When static electricity in clouds discharges to earth there is a huge, very short current pulse (surge).
No. It is the buildup of static electricity in the clouds, caused by the motion of the air within the clouds.
It passes from clouds to aircraft and builds up.
Electricity. Lightning is a stream of electrons traveling between the clouds and the ground. It's just like static electricity shock, but much bigger.
Static electricity is a build up of electrons that are rubbed off by things rubbing against each other. Static electricity is a problem on dry days with low humidity. Even the wind rubbing on cars can build up static electricity, a comb or balloon rubbed against clean hair builds up static electricity and of course lightening is a discharge of static electricity from the clouds to the Earth.
Dog
The discharge of electricity built up during a storm can be dangerous. It is a static discharge that is generated by positive an negatively charged clouds. When these clouds come in close contact with each other there is an electrical static discharge. This is known as lightning.
In clouds. It is a very, very strong form of static electricity (static is what makes your hair stand up when you rub it with a balloon.)
