It is often called faux leather. This is not strictly true. There are many names for fake suede including Alcantara, Buffalo, Micro suede, and amny more. Each country has their own variation.
Suede is either: the reverse side of any piece of Top Grain or Full Grain Leather (this is the best quality sometimes called hunter suede or split suede which is a cheaper and poorer quality which comes from the drop split of a top grain leather.
I use a product called a nubuck block; it resembles a crumbly soap bar. You rub the block into the suede to clean it.

There isn't a product called unnatural alcohol that is available for sale. If you meant denatured alcohol, it is available at Walmart stores, but it should never be used on suede.
