Figuratively just saying 疲れた /tsu ka re ta/ or もうへとへとです /mou he to he to de su/ does the trick. But literally both mean 'I am tired/exhausted/out of breath etc'.

To literally say 'it was tiring' you can use 疲れそうなことでした /tsu ka re sou na ko to de shi ta/.
